Services were held at the Hayti Church of Christ Sunday afternoon for Elmer Thomas Morgan Sr., 66, who died Thursday, June 25. Mr. Bruce Gobbell officiated and burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery with John W. German Funeal Home in charge.
Mr. Morgan was born October 30, 1903, in Tallagada, Ala., the son of John and Annie Bell Morgan, and was a retired car body repairman. He was married to Lillie Sweatmen March 15, 1957, in Blount, Ala.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Lillie Morgan of the home in Hayti; three sons, Grady A. Morgan of Cullman, Ala., John H. and Elmer T. Morgan of Hayti.
Seven daughters, Mrs. Edna Ray Pettet of Newport News, Va., Mrs. Jessie May Holder of Onetoea, Ala., Mrs. Martha Faye Sims of Albertville, Ala., Mrs. Virginia Kaye Skinner of Lakeland, Fla., Joyce Sue, Cathy Elaine and Debra Kaye Morgan of the home; three sisters, Mrs. Ada Vice, Mrs. Ora Shirley and Mrs. Gladys Christin, all of Alabama, and six grandchildren.
