Gladys, wife of many years, related that Cecil LOVED horses and owned several!!! - recorded reunion 1994.
Cecil owned a ranch and raised English cattle and race horses. He was quite a business man in his day. His ranch was near the Golden Bear Refinery in the Bakersfield area and he worked the oil fields as well as operating his ranch. Cecil died young and after his death Gladys sold the ranch and moved to a house about 1/4 mile from there. - info from Bruce Epps, April 2012
