THE DEATH OF STELLA WHITSEL -- Mrs Stella C Whitsel, 64, invalid wife of Luther T Whitsel, of Lafayette, died at her home Saturday evening at 5:05 o'clock. She had been an invaled for the last nine years, bedfast for the last eight weeks. The daughter of John M and Elizabeth (Smith)Cason, she was born in Rossville, August 13, 1868, and came to Wabash towndhip at the age of 10, marrying Luther Whitsel September 22, 1899. Surviving besides the husband, are two sons; Earl M of Independence, and Gilbert L of West Lafayette: threee daughters, Mrs William Wray, of Danville; Mrs Morehouse, of West Lafayette, and Mrs Russell Hadly of Moorsville: one brother, Frank J Cason: one sister, Mrs King. Funeral services at Mount ion Church. burial in Hebron cemetery.(Lafayette, Indiana, newpaper, Monday February 29, 1933)
