MRS. ARTHUR MANLEY
Mrs. Arthur (Mary Irene) Manley, 56, of Rt. 5, died at her home at 7 p. m. Tuesday after a sudden heart attack. The former Mary Irene Mc - Cormack, she was a life resident of Muscatine and Louisa counties.
She was born April 17, 1910, in Muscatine county, the daughter of John Allen and Mary Anna Kemptner McCor - mack. She was married May 19, 1945, in Muscatine, to Arthur Manley.
Mrs. Manley was the local manager of the Bargain Bakery on 1214 Hershey Ave. the past five years; and was a past chief of the Pythian Sisters lodge.
Surviving are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Warren (Delores) Blake, Mrs. Joyce Verlce Frey, and Mrs. George (Rajcan) Benjamin, all of Muscatine; one step - son, Keith Manley of Rock Island; two step - daughters, Mrs. Addie (Gertrude) Starkweather of Muscatine, and Mrs. Richard (Betty) Sedan of Moline: two brothers, Allen McCarmack of Marshalltown, and Dale Mc - Cormack of Azuza, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. John (Grace) Rehbehn of West Liberty; 22 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, one son, and one daughter. The body is at the Riley funeral home, where friends may call. Services will be held at 2 p. m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Rev. Chris Von Holten officiating.
Interment will be at Memorial Park cemetery.
