A young Muscatine motorcyclist died en
route to an Iowa City hospital Tuesday
afternoon of injuries received in a
traffic accident here.
He was Charles Devore, 20, who apparently
lost control of his motorcycle while
trying to stop for a traffic signal,
officials said.
Devore was thrown from his machine into
the traffic signal standard.
He was first taken to a Muscatine hospital,
but officials decided to transfer him to
Iowa City for treatment and he died en
route.
