Memorial services for Russell D. Chittick, 68, will be 11:30 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, Muscatine. Burial will be in Muscatine Memorial Park. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Jeffrey S. Nichols Funeral Home, Muscatine.
Mr. Chittick died Tuesday at University Hospitals, Iowa City.
He had owned Muscatine Area Swiss Valley Dairy distributorship. He retired in 1991. He married Leta Kerkove in 1947 in Sigourney, Iowa. During World War II, he served with the Army in the European Theater. He was a member of the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Community Nursing and Youth for Christ.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Sondra Clark, McMinnville, Ore.; Valerie Chittick, Iowa City; Lisa Sherry, Minneapolis; and Heather Haley, Muscatine; a son, Allan, Tomah, Wis.; and five grandchildren.
