The Rev. Arthur A. "A.A." Buntenbach, of Muscatine, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1999, at his home.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home, Muscatine. Burial will be in Muscatine Memorial Park. Visitation is 3-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with a memorial service at 7:30 p.m. at Glad Tidings Church, Muscatine.
Rev. Buntenbach was the pastor of Glad Tidings Church, which he founded in 1939. He still served as an active minister in the church. He was born March 1, 1910, in Montpelier. He married Viola Swingle in 1930. He married Margaret Bramble Bryant in 1958 in Mount Pleasant. Both wives preceded him in death.
Memorials may be made to the church or Genesis Hospice.
Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Hunt, Muscatine; stepdaughters, Nancy Garvin and Darlene Leech, both of Muscatine, and Donna Axelrod, Los Angeles; a son, Donald, Surprise, Ariz.; stepsons, Robert Bryant, Muscatine, and Vernon Bryant, Colona, Ill.; 23 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Berniece Tyler, of Texas.
