NOAH KLINE DIES AT BROADWAY HOME.
Was Pioneer Orchardist and Leading Farmer Funeral at 2:30 P.M. Today.
Noah F Kline, progressive farmer and one of the pioneer orchardists of the Broadway community, died at his home three miles west of Broadway early Tuesday morning.
He had been in ill health for over a year and death came as the result of infirmities of old age.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 3:30 from the Linville Creek Church of the Brethren near Broadway and will be in charge of his pastor, Rev. S.D. Lindsay, assisted by Rev, A. J. Fitzwater. Interment will be in the Linville Creek Cemetery.
Friends will meet at the house at 2 o'clock.
Pallbearers will be Charles Fulk, Roy Mason, Melvin Fitzwater, Charles King, Preston Brown, and A.W. Rosenberger.
Mr. Kline spent his entire life in the Broadway community and came to be one of the most outstanding citizens. He was the first farmer to own an orchard of any accountable
size.
He was born June 22, 1856, near New Erection, the son of the late Joseph and Mary Flory Kline.
From early life he was a member of the Church of the Brethren and was noted as a man of highest Christian ideals and practices.
Mr. Kline was twice married, his first wife, Miss Sallie Myers, of Edom, whom he married June 9, 1884, died many years ago. He was married again in 1900 to Miss Sallie
Racer of Luray, who now survives.
His only daughter, Theresa, died in 1899.
Besides his widow, he is survived by two brothers, A. F. of near Broadway and Sol G, Kline of Staunton and a nephew, Grant, who Mr. Kline reared, at his home place.
