Lillian Lorane Williams was the daughter of James P Williams and Maude E Martin. Lillian and Morris Elmer Holsey were the parents of Doris Maxine Holsey who was born December 4, 1932 in El Paso, Texas. Lillian moved to Winslow, Arizona about 1933, living there two years at the time of her death per her death certificate. She was swimming Clear Creek when she disappeared. The rescuers located her, but were unable to revive her. She was survived by her daughter Doris Holsey and a sister Betty Crabdock of Winslow per the article in Arizona Republic - 2 Sep 1935 - Page 15.
Her parents divorced and her mother remarried Ernest Langley.
We know she had two half brothers: Jack Ellis Bratton and Willie J (Bill) Bratton; full siblings Sam M Williams and Mattie L Williams. Mattie and Betty may be the same person.
Her daughter Doris was taken to her grandmother Maude to raise her. In 1940 Doris is with Maude in Ardmore, Carter, Oklahoma.
