Elkhart - Virginia L Miller, 85, of Elkhart, died Friday, Sept 16, 2011, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident on US 20 and CR 31, west of Middlebury.

She was born Feb 18, 1926, in Detroit to Jack and Ruth (Tenant) Allan.

On June 2, 1946, in Elkhart, she married Steven M Schmucker. He passed away Jan 27, 1983, in Elkhart.

She married Richard C Miller on Oct 7, 1987, in Elkhart. He passed away April 7, 1997.

Surviving are three nephews, two nieces, five great-nieces, one great-nephew, several great-great-nieces and -nephews, two granddaughters, and several great-grandchildren.

Her parents, brothers Jack Allan Jr and William Allan, and son Lon Schmucker are deceased.

She was a member of Bethany Missionary Church, Fitness USA and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed working in her yard. She was formerly employed at Nicks Grocery, Harold's Grocery and Hubbard Hill Estates.

Cremation will take place. A graveside service will be at 5 pm Monday, Oct 10, 2011, at Olive Cemetery. Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with arrangements.

Memorials may be given to Bethany Missionary Church.
