William Jackson Severs, 55 years old, 1821 Virginia Avenue, died Tuesday night at St. John's Medical Cemter where he had been a patient three weeks. He had been in ill health several years.

Mr. Severs, a retired miner. was born November 6, 1913, in Joplin and hed resided here all his life. He attended the Central Assembly of God church.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Vera Severs; two sons, Jackie Severs and Gene Severs of Joplin; two daughters, Miss Linda Severs and Mrs. Carolyn Sanders; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Severs of Galena, KS; two brothers, Clarence Severs of Joplin, and Earl Severs of Galena, KS; five sisters, Mrs. Leonard Watts, Mrs. Thomas Allgood, Mrs. CL\lyde Sneed and Mrs. L. B. Sill, all of Galena, KS, and Mrs. Joan Curry of Carthage; and nine grandchildren.

Services will be announced by Mason Chapel.
