Born October 13, 1912, she lived on a farm near Morley, Iowa. At the age of 10 moved to Minnesota. She met Carl Westberg at the General Assembly of the Church of God of Prophecy in Cleveland, TN and they were married July 21, 1934 at Spencer Brook, in Minnesota.

She was a very good cook and was Head Cook at the Zimmerman Elementary School for several years. She also enjoyed embroidering, crocheting, machine sewing, and keep a neat house. A lot of the items she made were sold for missions. She also played guitar in the church band. She was very active in whatever she was doing.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, David and Esther Boots; husband, Carl; 2 brothers, Richard and Merwyn Boots of Iowa and 2 sisters, Margaret Thompson and Vera Johnson of Meadow Vale.

Gladys is survived by her 3 sons, Gerald (Irene) from Blaine, MN, Dennis (Nancy) from Rochester, MN. and Daniel (Wanda) from Foley, Ala.; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives.

Funeral service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Dare’s Funeral Home, 805 Main Street, Elk river, MN with visitation starting at 10:00 AM. www.daresfuneralservice.com
