The first born child of Abraham Van Duzen and Joanna Kellogg. John was a fisherman by trade; it is unknown at this time whether or not he was married.

John passed away due to Brights Disease at his home in Sedamsville, a neighborhood on the west side of Cincinnati.

VAN DUZEN - At 7 o'clock P.M., February 21, John Van Duzen, in his 72d year.

Funeral from the residence of his brother, E.W. Van Duzen, 120 Ringgold street, Newport, Ky., on Friday, February 24, at 2 P.M.
