Born July 15, 1925, in Shrewsbury Township, Clyde was the son of the late Samuel Elias Ehrhart and Elda LaRue (Walker) Ehrhart.
Mr. Ehrhart was a lifelong farmer. He retired in 1985 from the former American Insulator Corporation, New Freedom, after 35 years of service. Clyde was a member of Bethlehem Steltz Reformed Church. He is survived by four children, Charlotte M. Grimm, Martha M. Grimm, Betty J. Fix and her husband, Samuel Wayne Fix, and Clyde S. Ehrhart, II, all of Glen Rock; a grandson, Samuel Wayne Fix, II; a brother, William J. Ehrhart of New Freedom; and a sister, LaRue E. Markel of Seven Valleys. He was predeceased by a brother, Harold E. Ehrhart; and two granddaughters, Angela Marie and Janie May Grimm.
A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., October 12, 2011, at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, New Freedom, with the Rev. John C. Dorr, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Bethlehem Steltz Cemetery, Glen Rock.
