After graduating from Cal Poly, Bennie worked 34 years for GE Nuclear, settling his family in 1970 in San Jose, Calif., where he retired in 1994.
Bennie and Pat moved to Los Osos, Calif., on the central coast, before moving to Bozeman in 2004.
An avid fishermen and bridge player, Bennie spent many hours on the lake or playing in bridge tournaments. Bennie was most proud of his (2008) "Life Master" Bridge player status.
Bennie is survived by his three children: Richard (Karen) of Bozeman; Dana Porzio (Daniel) of San Jose, Calif.; and Robert (Michael) of San Jose, Calif.
Bennie also leaves behind five grandchildren, Melanie, Dominic, Hillary, Elaine and Taylor; great grandson Malakai; younger brother Wayne (Pat); and many loving nieces and nephews.
Bennie was an honorable son, brother, husband, father and friend. He will be missed! He is interred next to his wife Pat in Santa Maria, Calif. Services were held April 11, 2011.
