TEXAS CITY - Pettus Mayfield Harris, 73, died Wednesday at his residence.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Rumph Mortuary Chapel in El Dorado, Ark., the Rev. Clinton Carey officiating.
Burial will follow in Harris Cemetery in El Dorado, with local arrangements under direction of James Crowder Funeral Home of La Marque.
Mr. Harris was born July 17, 1912, in El Dorado.
He was a retired farmer and former El Dorado resident and had lived in Texas City since 1981.
Survivors include two daughters, Ila Verne Harris of Texas City and Mary Edyth Bellizio of San Antonio; two sons, James Vernon Harris and David Glenn Harris, both of El Dorado; sister, Thelma Bauman of El Dorado; brother, William Lester Harris of Livingston; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitors may call at the funeral home in El Dorado today.
