Roland "Bud" Becker, 65, of Lake Kiowa, passed away Friday afternoon at his residence. He was born on July 11, 1928 in Aurora to the late Carl and Dorthea (Draudt) Becker.
He married Gloria Herrmann on January 6, 1978 in Irving, Texas. Mr Becker was a foreman for Equipto for 34 years before his retirement. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include his wife Mrs Roland Becker of Lake Kiowa, a son Ross Becker of Irving, Texas two step sons James Slomski of Lewisville, Texas, and John Slomski of Colorado Springs, Colorado, three step daughters Gladys Slomski of Lake Kiowa, Irene Traffenstead of Easton, Pennsylvania and Elaine Slomski of Powderly Texas two sisters Elaine Klemencic of Aurora, and Karen Poss of Plano and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Clement-Keel Funeral Chapel. 1204 E California St in Gainesville, Texas on Tuesday at 11 am. The Rev Max Brennan Pastor of St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Fort Worth, Texas will officiate. Burial will be at New Rest Haven Cemetery in Gainvesville, Texas.
