Orland F. Elmore, 84, of Lexington, MO passed away Friday, December 31, 2010. Orland Finis Elmore was born December 11, 1926 in Prescott, Arkansas, the son of Homer and Mary Smith Elmore. He married Elnora M. Ellis Fizer on December 29, 1944 in Prescott, Arkansas. He was Manager of the MFA Grain Elevator in Cowgill, MO for 10 years. He retired in 1982. Orland was a member of the Lexington First Baptist Church and Lexington V.F.W. Post 4052. He was a WWII Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving as a Quarter Master. Surviving is his son: Larry Elmore and wife, Kelly, Liberty, MO. Two granddaughters: Amy Barcher, Kansas City, MO and Heather O'Bier, Victorville, CA. Three sisters: Eris Goodloe, Lexington, Gladys Wicker, Prescott, AR, and Betty Sue Dodwell, Gerdon, AR. There are four great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death was his wife, Elnora, his parents, a brother, L.C. Elmore, and two sisters, Francis McDade and Erma Lou Sandage. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 7, 2011 at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington. Burial in Lexington Memory Gardens. Visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
