Wm Funk was born in Monroe County, January 3, 1854 and peacefully slipped into the Great Beyond, Thursday morning, and July 11, 1935.
At the age of 81 years 5 months, and 8 days.

He was the oldest child of Owen and Margaret Funk; He was united in marriage to Hannah Isabelle Runnells in 1875. She departed this life, July 18, 1897. To this union eight children were born, two having preceded him in death, Henry, Feb. 23, 1903 and Roy June 18, 1930.

He was again united in marriage to Margaret Tucker March 9, 1916.

He was a kind and loving father always of a cheerful disposition, He found much joy and comfort in reading his Bible.

Dearest husband, father how we miss thee...
How we miss from thy place,
but we, one and all shall know him,
When we see his smiling face.

Burial was made in the Marysville cemetery.
