Marion C. "Mel" Fowler of Farmington passed from this life on Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington. He was born March 30, 1937, in Logan, N.M., to Milton B. Fowler and Anna Lois Fowler.
He served in the United States Air Force from 1956 to 1960.
He retired from Valley Electric in Amargosa Valley, Nev., after 30 years. He worked for a few years for Energy Pump and Supply in Farmington.
Marion was preceded in death by his parents, and grandson, Bryan Semore.
He is survived by his wife, Letitcia and daughter, Rebecca, of Farmington; daughters, Dinah Semore of Amargosa Valley, Nev.; Ronetta of Beatty, Nev., and Sarah Willis; son-in-law, Fred Willis; granddaughters, Courtney of Beatty, Nev., and Kathleen Semore; grandson, Dustin Semore, of Oroville, Calif. He is also survived by his brothers, James (Lucille) Fowler, Don (Darlene) Fowler; sisters, Edna (Leo) Noyes and Dixie (Bill) Slack, all of Farmington, and JoAnn (Ralph) of Orlando, Fla.; and many others that will take his wisdom to the next life.
Viewing will be from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 414 N. Allen Ave. in Farmington.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Farmington.
The reception potluck will be held at noon at Sacred Heart Family Center.
