Jacksboro - Thurman H. Allen of Jacksboro, a retired Lone Star Gas Co. Employee, died Tuesday at a Wichita Falls hospital. He was 78.
Funeral will be at 2 pm today at the Church of Christ in Jacksboro.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Jacksboro. Coker Funeral Home in Jacksboro is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Allen was born in Jack County and lived there most of his life. He was an operator for Lone Star Gas Co. before retiring. He was a Baptist.
Survivors: Wife, Thetice Allen of Jacksboro; son, Theo R. Allen of Henrietta; two brothers, Clarence Allen of Abilene and L. D. Allen of Red Springs; two sisters, Loys Welch of Gilliland and Louise Clark of Olton; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
