L. E. COX BURIED IN LORAINE
Louis E. Cox, 69, of Loraine, died at 2 p.m. Thursday in Root Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held yesterday (Saturday) at 3 p.m. in the Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel.
President W. Leigh Brooks, pastor of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Church in Sweetwater, officiated. Burial was in the Loraine Cemetery.
Mr. Cox had moved to Loraine two years ago from Hale Center-where he was a retired heavy equipment
operator for Hale County.
He was born May 8, 1909, in Honey Grove and married Edith Lucille Miles May 31, 1959, in
Plainview.
Survivors include his wife; his daughter, Saundra Rash of Alamo; two stepdaughters, Mrs. George
Mogford of Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, and Mrs. Bob Hedrick of Hale Center; two sons, Ray Neal Cox of
Lubbock and David Cox of Sweetwater; two, stepsons, James W. Kalana of1 Alamosa, Colorado and Dr. Frank Kalana of Houston; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
