US Congressman. Elected to represent Indiana's 1st District in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1827 to 1829. Also served as Presidential Elector from Indiana in 1816, United States District Attorney for Indiana in 1817, State Court Judge in 1818, Member of the Indiana State House of Representatives from 1819 to 1820, and 1823 to 1824, Member of the Indiana State Senate from 1821 to 1822, and 1829 to 1830, and Candidate for United States Senator from Indiana in 1831.
