Robert Allison, 63, of Martinsville, died at 3 p.m. Friday, September 19, 1997 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 23 at Greenwell Funeral Home, Martinsville with the Rev. George Nika officiating. Graveside service will be held at 12 noon in the Crest Haven Memorial Park, Olney. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
He was born December 3, 1933 in Bridgeport, the son of Lowell and Anna (Gaynor) Allison. He married Joyce Willis who preceded him in death on November 19, 1974. He later married Mary Lou Montgomery, she survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Ron Allison of Alvin, Texas and Rob Allison of Casey; one daughter, Jama Brewer of Casey; five step-sons, Gary Montgomery of Casey, Steve Montgomery of Casey, Mark Montgomery of Martinsville, Terry Montgomery of Springfield and Roger Montgomery of Marshall; one step-daughter, Brenda Montgomery of Casey; three sisters, Mary Ann Smith of Byron, Ga., Sue Nuttal of Marion and Janet Young of Bridgeport; five grandchildren; 17 step-grandchildren and nine step-great grandchildren.
Mr. Allison was retired from 34 years of service as an electrician for the Marathon Oil Company. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, and a member of the Casey Moose Lodge.
