Funeral services for Mrs. Tommie G. Colvin, age 83 of Vienna, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, September 5, 2011 at Owens Memorial Chapel in Ruston. Reverend Connie Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in Vienna Cemetery under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.

Mrs. Colvin was born on August 20, 1928 to the union of Thomas Harvey and Cora Estelle Owen Gray in Hico, LA. She died Saturday, September 3, 2011 in Ruston after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Colvin was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles A. Colvin, Jr.; grandson: Charles Barmore; brothers: Paul Gray and his wife Inez and Rev. James Gray; and brother in law: C. P. Davis.

Mrs. Colvin is survived by her three children: T. Rodney Colvin and his wife Patsy of Dubach, LA, Edith and her husband Randy Barmore of Russellville, AR and Steven D. Colvin and his wife Debbie of Dubach, LA; seven grandchildren: T. Rodney Colvin, Jr. and his wife Kelly of Dubach, LA, Tina and her husband Mark Davenport of Russellville, AR, Tammy and her husband Michael Kyle of Conway, AR, Leigh Ann and her husband Bryan Jones of Homer, LA, Marcus Colvin of Dallas, TX, Kristen Colvin of Dallas, TX and David Colvin and his wife Sonya of Dubach. LA and nine great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister: India Davis of Dubach, LA; her brother: Donald Gray and his wife Jane Ann of Homer, LA; her sister in law: Ruth Gray of Bernice, LA and numerous nieces and nephews, all whom she loved dearly.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Jay Roberts, Chris Gray, Jerry Moore, Tony Gray, Rodney Colvin, Jr., Marcus Colvin, David Colvin and Bryan Jones. The family would like to express their gratitude for her care by the nurses and staff of Alpine Nursing Home and LifeCare during her illness.
