He graduated from Plymouth, MA high school, Dartmouth College and Bangor Theological Seminary and holds a Master of Divinity Degree from the Bangor Seminary and MS Degree in Education from Bates College.


He taught school for 35 years in new Jersey and Maine high schools and also served as resident pastor in Methodist and Congregational Churches in Vermont and New Hampshire and in the Maine communities of Machias, Monmouth, Union, Norway, Calais and Eastport. He retired in 1964.


He is survived by his wife Agnes of Eastport, ME; one daughter Mary J Gebo of Eastport, ME; five grandchildren Cora, Dona and Celia Boers of Arkansas; Michael G and Michele M Gebo of Eastport, ME: one sister Mrs Mariam E Clark of Brockton, MA.
