Amy McClure Maryott (VanValkenburg) of Clearfield, Utah, peacefully left this life surrounded by her family and friends on September 13, 2011 at the age of 37. She passed away from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Amy was born March 28, 1974 in Silver Spring, Maryland the daughter of Margie Maryott and David Maryott. Amy was a bright and beautiful woman with big blue eyes that could warm the coldest hearts in winter. Her laugh was contagious and she touched the lives and hearts of all those around her with her smile.

She loved her two sons and daughter who were the center of her life. Not only a "super mom," she was a "super woman" both talented and bright with her own ideas. Amy loved sunny days at the ocean playing on the beach. She excelled at volleyball but always took the time to include those around her. Her ability to make others laugh and feel included set a strong example of compassion that attracted people to her. Amy enjoyed cosmetology and aesthetics, scrap booking and interior design, but above all, her crowning achievements were her children.

Amy was preceded in death by her son Dylan Shelton and brother Mike Maryott, and is survived by her children Brooklynn and Jaken Shelton, her parents Margie Maryott, David and Maryann Maryott her brothers Kevin Maryott (Marica) Chris Maryott (Staci) and Jeff Ackerman (Tiffani) and by all of her nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and Brigham Buddies.

Friends and family are invited to a viewing on Friday, September 16, from 6-8 at Rudd Funeral Home, 1234 S Main Garland. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 17 at Tremonton West Stake Center 345 S 1000 W at 11:00 with a viewing before from 9:00 – 10:30. Interment at Bothwell Valley View Cemetery.
