Funeral Services will be held Tuesday morning at 10;30 o'clock from the Nelson-Savage Funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Zion cemetery near Hicks, Ark., the same afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. John McConnell assisted by Rev. J. W. Workman, both of Fayetteville, will officiate.
Mrs. Bassett was wife of James M. Bassett, who died Jan. 6, 1925. She was daughter of David Hope and Mrs. Louise Johnson Hope, both natives of Tennessee. She was born at West Fork, Ark., Feb 3, 1859.
She leaves eight children, 14 grandchildren and four great-granchildren; also four sisters and two brothers. She was a niece of the late B. F. Johnson.
Children residing in Fayetteville besides Mrs. Shook are W. E. Bassett, J. O. Bassett and D. E. Bassett. Other children are B. F. Bassett of Claremore, Okla., Mrs. J. O. Fallen of Rogers and Mrs. George Anthony of Los Angeles, also survive.
Sisters and brothers include Mrs. Martha Stockburger, Pasadena, Calif.; Mrs. Ollie Harp, Fayetteville; Mrs. Sarah Settle, West Fork; Mrs. Etta Black, Fayetteville; Ben Hope, West Virginia, and John Hope, West Fork."
