Vica Bilbrey, daughter of William and Gracie Ann Gentry Joiner, was born May 13, 1866 in Wayne County, Missouri
She was married to John Marler at the age of 16 years and to this union 5 children was born: Sarah Leach of Piedmont, Deliah Gentry of Williamsville, Thornton Marler deceased, Lee Marler of Williamsville, and Henry Marler deceased. Mr. and Mrs Marler lived in a true and happy married life until the death of Mr. Marler.
On December 25, 1892 she was united in marriage to William Campbell Bilbrey and to this union six children were born: a son deceased, Minnie Warmack deceased, Mrs. Lillie McMahan of Plain view, Illinois, Mrs. Mary Warren of Carlinville, Illinois, Andrew Bilbrey deceased, Lonnie Bilbrey of Carlinville, Illinois. Mrs. Bilbrey also was a real mother to Mr. Bilbrey's four sons by a previous marriage, Johnny Bilbrey of Shook, Squire Bilbrey deceased, Zina Bilbrey of Piedmont, Walter Bilbrey of Williamsville. Together the Bilbreys built their home and reared their children as brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Bilbrey died at the home of her daughter Mrs. Mary Warren in Carlinville, Illinois and Burril in Duncan Cemetery Wayne County, Missouri.
