She was born Jul 6, 1935, in the Denlow Community of Douglas Co, MO, a daughter of Noel Alsup and Trilby Estes Alsup. On Aug 2, 1955, in Senatobia, MS, she was married to Ralph Huff, who survives of the home.
She was raised and educated in Mountain Grove. She graduated Salutatorian of the Mountain Grove High School Class of 1953. She received several awards during her high school career including being selected by her teachers for the Outstanding Citizenship Award. She also represented her high school at Missouri Girl's State. After high school, she received her BS in education at Southwest Missouri State and was a Kindergarten teacher at Calvary Baptist Church.
After her marriage, she and Ralph moved to Sedalia in 1959, where they were owner/operators of a local grocery store for 25 years. She also presided as the president of McNuff Market, Inc.
She was an active member of First Baptist Church where she was involved in the Adult 8 W.C.W. (Willing Church Workers) Sunday School Class. She was a life member and volunteer of the Red Cross Volunteer program at Bothwell Regional Health Center. She loved to write stories recalled from her childhood for her children.
Also surviving are two sons, Jim Huff and his wife, Brenda, of O'Fallon, Bill Huff and his wife, Jan, of Shawnee, KS; one daughter, Katie Lewark, and her husband, Brock, of Overland Park, KS; two brothers, Charles Alsup and Tom Alsup; two sisters, Anna Belle Boswell and Jane Hegle; and two grandchildren, Ryan Huff and Ben Huff.
Pallbearers were Eldon Kreisel, Ron Cunningham, Ray Snell, Tom Alsup, Craig White and Brock Lewark. Honorary pallbearers were Pete and Mary Stober, Bob and Joyce Bailey, Loa Snell, Mark and Muriel Snell, Roy & Elaine Bryson, Gary and Linda Vestal, Lou Feeback and members of the Adult 8 Sunday School Class.
