Mrs. Eva Meriweather, 86, a former resident of Jamestown, died at 7:10 a.m. today at the Duke Nursing Home near Bowersville.
A resident of the Jamestown and Bowersville area since 1918, she was born Nov. 12, 1878 near Antioch, O., the daughter of Thomas and Almeda Bernard and belonged to the Bowersville Methodist Church. On Aug. 1, 1900 she was married to Reuben Meriweather who died in 1937.
Survivors include a son, William Meriweather of near Jamestown; and a twin brother, Evert Bernard of Sabina.
Services will be conducted Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Powers Funeral Home, Jamestown, with burial in Antioch Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.

DISCREPANCY re date of birth: Obit says she was born 12 Nov 1878, but cemetery database says she was born 1879. The 1878 date must be the correct one, because it is also the date of birth of her twin brother, Evert.
