Karen Kay Boston Fowble, 61, of Meridian, Idaho, died October 4, 2011 at St. Luke's Hospital – Meridian. She passed peacefully with her sons and sisters by her side.
Karen was born October 29, 1949 in Holdrege, Nebraska, and moved to Idaho with her family in 1962. The eldest daughter of Dell and Marion (Gipe) Boston, Karen attended Kuna High School – Class of 1968.
She loved her family, and enjoyed her iced tea, her books, her crocheting, and a good NASCAR race, especially if Kurt Busch was driving. An independent woman with a free spirit, Karen was a fixture in the Meridian community, and could frequently be seen over the last 30+ years walking up and down Meridian Road on her way to visit family and friends, or to shop for her favorite items.
Karen is survived by her parents; Dell and Marion Boston, of Meridian; her sons, Spencer Fowble, of Holladay, TN, and James Ward, of Boise; siblings: Stacy (Margy) Boston, of Kuna, Rita (Gene) Dash, of Meridian, and Teresa (Rick) Giachetti, of Meridian; her six grandchildren: James Jr., Kirsten, Katelynn, Sidney, Elijah, and Sebastian; a large extended family; and her best doggie friend, Morgan – a 12 year old Lhasa-Apso.
A beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, niece, cousin, aunt, and friend, Karen is deeply missed by a great many people.
