Jennie Petersen, 80, formerly of Route 5, Iowa City, died Friday in Crestview Care Center, West Branch, following a long illness.
Born Aur. 18, 1907, in Cedar County, she married Henry Petersen in 1925 at Iowa City. He died in 1981. She was a member of the First United Methoidist Church and Sew and Blow Club.
Survivors include a son, Richard of West Branch; a brother, Ardell Aldaman of Cedar Rapids; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services 10 a.. Monday, Donohue-Lensing's. Burial: Memory Gardens. Memorials to Alzheimer's research at the University of Iowa.
