Geib, Stamford, Connecticut, Bellevue Hospital Medical College, New York, 1869; Veteran of the Civil War; Surgeon General of the state under Governor Harrison; Representative in the Connecticut Legislature 1883; former president of the Fairfield County Medical Society; at one time vice president of the Connecticut State Medical Society; formerly on staff of St. John's Hospital; recently surgeon on a United Fruit Company ship - was found dead in his room, August 5, from accidental asphyxiation. Age 74."
