Grace Marie Benton-Dickey, the daughter of Ralph and Lizzie Kinney, was born June 13, 1924 in Wisconsin.

Grace married Robert W. Benton in December of 1940. Robert would proceed her in death in 1977. In October of 1984, Grace was united in marriage with Homer E. Dickey. Homer would proceed her in death in 2012.

Grace worked for the Maytag Company in Newton for over 20 years. She retired from the Machine Shop. Grace was a member of the Newton Moose Lodge. She enjoyed playing the slots, crocheting, embroidering, drawing and visiting every day with her loving dog, Cocoa.

Grace died on Monday, July 23, 2018 at Skiff Medical Center in Newton. She was 94 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Robert; her second husband, Homer; her granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Julie and Reggie Hodge; her brothers, Robert, Clifford and Charlie and her sisters, Helen, Ellen, Florence, Claribel, Erma, Doris and Juanitea.

Those left to honor Grace's memory include her daughters, Sharon (Paul) Kool of Newton, IA and Barbara (David) Muenks of Orlando, FL; her grandchildren, Brian Kool, Deborah O'Brien/ Schieffelin, Jacqueline O'Brien/ Setnicka, Marcell O'Brien/Holland; her great grandchildren, Brandon Hodge (Crystal Davis), Kaci Hodge (Davion Hurst), Samantha Schieffelin, Benjamin Schieffelin, Ava Setnicka, Laci Setnicka, Matthew Holland and Ashley Holland; a great-great granddaughter, Nolynn Hurst; her step children, Daniel (Amy Dickey), Donald (Penny) Dickey, Evelyn (Bob) Howard, Linda (Jim) Seiberling, many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren and her loving dog, Cocoa.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 1st at the Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home in Newton. The family will greet friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memeorials may be designated in her name or to the Jasper County Animal Rescue League.
