Funeral services were held in the McGregor Presbyterian Church Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. E.L. Nelson, Presbyterian minister officiating. Burial was in the McCrimmon cemetery, with Murchison in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were J.T. Sumner, Jr., Garland Sumner, Forest Fields, Marvin O'Neal, Leon O'Neal and Frank Duncan.
Mr. O'Neal was a native of McGregor, but for the past ten years had been a citizen in Atlanta where he was employed as an accountant. He was the son of the late William C. O'Neal and mrs. Sarah E. McSwain O'Neal and Sarah E. McSwain O'Neal.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Trudy Sumner O'Neal of Atlanta; brothers, H.E., W.E., and R.D. O'Neal, Sr. of McGregor, S.H. O'Neal of Vidalia, J.M. O'Neal of St. Petersburg, Florida, and sisters, Mrs. J. F. Duncan of Mt. Vernon and Miss Bertha O'Neal of McGregor.
