He was a Pvt. in Co A 4th Regiment Mississippi Cavalry, enlisted July 26, 1864 in Augusta, Greene Co Miss. This company became the Co B 46th Miss Infantry.
Milton was in the Battle at Franklin Tenn on Nov. 30, 1864.
Was on the roll of Prisoners of War that surrendered at Citronelle Ala., May 4, 1865 and paroled at Gainesville, Ala;l May 12, 1865.
He is the son of Alexander Archibald McKay & Elizabeth Carter, and the husband of Evelyn Ellen Reeves.
