Hyrum J. Peterson, 71, well known farmer of Ucon, was stricken with a heart attack Wednesday at 11:30 a. m. at his home and died en route to the hospital. Officially Idaho Falls, Bonneville, Idaho.
He was born April 28, 1885 at Clarkston, Cache, Utah, to Edward and Huldah Malmberg Peterson. He married Phoebe Fisher April 18, 1906, at Annis. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary this April. June 16, 1953 their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
Besides his wife, he is survived by the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Lafell Waters, Roberts, Idaho; H. Jeroyal Peterson, Thornton, Idaho; Lavoy Peterson, Swan Valley, Idaho; Mrs. Edwin Tawzer, Ammon, Idaho; and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Thomas Burrows and Edward Peterson, Malad, Idaho; Ben Peterson, Wellsville, Utah; and Leland Peterson, Ogden, Utah; Twenty grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. at the Ucon Ward LDS Chapedl with Bishop Karl Devenport officiating. Friends may call at the chapel from 1 p.m. until time of services. Prior to that time friends may call at the Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Little Butte Cemetery at Annis, Idaho.
