sColfax, Jul 18 – Special – Death claimed Rev D C Campbell, 87, retired Church of the Brethren minister, at his home four and a half miles west of here last night at 9 o’clock. He had been suffering with heart trouble. A native of Buchanon county, Iowa, he was the son of Martin and Emaline Campbell, and married Alice Oglesby February 14, 1876, she died April 5. He was ordained into the ministery 55 years ago and for several years served as pastor of White church, west of here, but had been a farmer since his retirement. Surviving are the following children: Mrs j E Ryan, and Mrs Walter Larsh, Mrs A P Hayes, of near here; Mrs Harry Moore, of Frankfort; Mrs Frank Smith, of Salt Lake City, Utah; Mrs Lester Burroughs, of Crawfordsville; John W Campbell, of Lafayette. James M Campbell, of Darlington and Floyd Campbell, at home. Two sisters, Mrs Rose E Cook, of Watseka, Illinois, along with a brother, Robert Campbell of Lafayette; 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.
