YORKTOWN--James W. Batt, 73, died Sunday at his home after a long illness.
Mr. Batt was born in Muncie and worked 27 years at Durham Manufacturing. He retired in 1987 as head custodian after more than 10 years at Mount Pleasant Community School Corp.
Survivors include two sons;
His wife, Bercilla Stout Batt, died in 1982.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Parson Mortuary, Muncie. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Calling at Parson Mortuary will be 5-7 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Wednesday.
