Carnes----Mary F. Ballenger Carnes was born January 16, 1870, and died March 14, 1932, being 62 years old. She was married to Lewis W. Carnes August 1, 1886, and to this union eight children were born. three daughters and five sons. All are living except one, son, who died in infancy. Sister Carnes accepted her Saviour in early life and lived a true Christian until the time of her death. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband , and children, and other relatives, and many friends. Words of comfort were read by the writer; the funeral service was held in the Sewellton church, of which she was a member. M. R. Garrett.
