Flatwoods, Dec. 28 – Alfred Wesley Brown, 67, a farmer of near Burnsville, died at midnight Monday following an extended illness. He was born in Burnsville, a son of Isaac N. and Elizabeth Coonrod [Conrad] Brown.
Survivors include four sons, Wesley, of Burnsville; Woodrow in the army at Fort Bragg, N.C.; Raymond, in the army at Sheppard Field, La., and William J., of New York City; seven daughters, Mrs. Opal Pritchard, of California; Mrs. Gladys Pritchard, of Youngstown, OH; Luella Brown, of Roanoke; Mrs. Susie Ocheltree, of Weston; Mrs. Ernest Ratcliff, of Weston, and Frankie Brown, of Ambridge, Pa.; one brother, Grover Brown, of Orlando, route 2, and two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth McPherson and Mrs. Annie Knight, both of Burnsville.
