He had daughters Patricia C. Johnson, and Juanita C. Stafford. He was survived by three sisters, Marlan W. Derring, Mabel W. Pittman, and Hilda W. Rodehurt, 10 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
He died on September 26, 1954 at the age of 79.
