"Oral F. Elliott Services Slated"

FULLERTON - Oral F. Elliott, 52, Fullerton business and civic leader, died Saturday at St. Jude Hospital after several months of illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McAulay and Suters Mortuary. Officiating will be Dr. G. William Grady, Sunny Hills Baptist Church of Fullerton.

Mr. Elliott who had been owner and operator of Elliott's Appliance in Fullerton for 34 years was also active in civic and fraternal groups.

He served as a member of the Fullerton Planning Commission for eight years until 1948 and was a member of the citizens civic center site committee for location of (the) present City Hall.

He was active in the Fullerton Chamber of Commerce and served for an extended period on the retail committee. He was a charter member of the ELks Lodge of Fullerton and was active on the Fulerton Lions Club. He served as treasurer of the Lions Club and in numerous other capacities in club projects. He was also a member of Hullenbeck Masonic Lodge of Los Angeles.

Surviving are his widow Evelyn; one daughter, Miss Diana Elliott of the home; and his sister, Mrs Alta Jessee of Alhambra.

He was born Feb 25, 1918, at Glade, Kansas. His family moved to the Los Angeles ares where he spent his earlier years. He came to Orange County 34 years ago.

The family requests that memorials be expressed in the form of contributions to the Cancer Fund.
