Jacob J. Blair, brother of the preceding, is a farmer on sec. 4, owning 160 acres of land; P.O. St. Mary's; he was born in Ohio, 1818, married in this county in 1844 to Mary Nichols, daughter of John R. and Elizabeth (Rhodes) Nichols; they are the parents of 5 children,- Mary, Robert, Elizabeth, Alice, and Alonzo J. Mr. B. has been Road Commissioner; he is a member of the Masonic fraternity. Was in the Mormon War 6 weeks. Politically he is a Republican.
