Robert Preston Andrews, 68, retired vice president, died Thursday, February 24, 2000, in Fort Worth. Memorial service: 2:30 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church of Fort Worth. Burial: Private graveside in Greenwood Memorial Park. Robert Preston Andrews was born September 19, 1931, in Dallas and was a lifelong resident of Fort Worth. He was the son of the late Robert R. and Geraldine Andrews. He graduated from the University of Texas in 1952. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a first lieutenant. He retired as vice president of Marsh-McClennan Insurance Brokers and retired later from Kirby Head-Teas Insurance Agency. He was the past president of the Westside Lions Club. He was a deacon at First Presbyterian Church and traveled extensively in the United States and Europe.
Survivors: Wife of 40 years, Barbara N. Andrews of Fort Worth; son, Darryl R. Andrews of Fort Worth; daughters, Jennifer A. Reed and her husband, Donald T. of Acworth, Georgia, and Janet F. Kramer of Lumberton; grandchildren, Donald T. Reed Jr and Melissa Reed, both of Acworth; and numerous nieces and nephews. Greenwood Funeral Home.
