James Albright, 83, died at 1 o'clock last Friday morning at his home on Meyersdale R.D. 3. He was a son of John and Susanna (Bittner) Albright and was born in Maryland on December 23, 1858. His wife passed away in 1917. Surviving are these children: Louis and James Albright, all of Meyersdale; Mrs. Jesse Valentine, Ridgley, W.Va.; Mrs. Moses Forest, Meyersdale; Charles, Walter, Clara and Susan Albright, at home. Nine grandchildren and these sisters also survive: Mrs. F. J. Carothers, Altoona; Mrs. Ellen Creighton, Dravosburg; Mrs. Clara Fuller, Meyersdale; Mrs. Perry Beal, Meyersdale R.D.; Mrs. Daniel Deal, Meyersdale, and Mrs. Harry Burley, Meyersdale R.D. Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Albright home by Rev. DeWitt L. Miller, pastor of the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren. Interment was in Union Cemetery under the direction of H. R. Konhaus, local mortician. Pallbearers were Merle Hay, Edward Bittner, Francis Gomer, Ira Harding, Roy Geigher, and Calvin Geigher. Mr. Albright was in failing health for several years, but had taken to his bed only four days before he passed away.
