Jack Crackel, 89 years of West Union, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2008 at his residence.

He was born in Browns, Illinois on November 16, 1918 the son of the late Frank and Lura (Lankford) Crackel.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Helen (Camfield) Crackel.

Jack was a member of the Dunkinsville United Methodist Church, American Legion Post #100 in West Union, West Union Lions Club, Kentucky Colonel (Honorable Order), and a Navy Veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Mike and Brenda Crackel of West Union, one step granddaughter Heather Blevins, one step great granddaughter Cindy Blevins, and one step great grandson Kyle Blevins.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Dunkinsville United Methodist Church with Steve Darby officiating. Military Rights will be given by the Adams County Honor Guard.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 12:00 till 2:00 P.M. at the Dunkinsville United Methodist Chruch; the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles is in charge of the arrangements.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday at the Graceland Cemetery in Albion, Illinois eastern standard time.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Hope, 909 Kenton Station Road Maysville, Kentucky 41056.
