Mrs. Bertha Stein Adamson died at her home on North St., Meyersdale, at 5 a.m. Wednesday, October 5. She had been in ill health for some months. She was born in Rockwood, Dec. 18, 1883, the daughter of John and Anna (Tremer) Stein. Her husband, John H. Adamson, preceded her in death Oct. 19, 1948. She is survived by two sons, John H. Jr., recently moved from Pittsburgh to Washington, D.C., and Alex C. of Pittsburgh; two daughters, Mrs. W. P. Cover, Meyersdale, and Miss Anne Adamson, at home, and by six grandchildren. Also surviving are five sisters, Mrs. Nora Mitchell and Mrs. John Ryan, Somerset; Mrs. Sarah Hatten of Erwin, Tenn., at present in Meyersdale; Mrs. Mary E. Speicher, Jennerstown, and Mrs. Freda Hewes, Baltimore. Mrs. Adamson was a devoted mother and a kindly neighbor, and a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be held at the home at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, the Rev. H. K. Hilner officiating. Interment in Union Cemetery under the direction of W. C. Price and Son, morticians.
