Ada Bush, age 84, of Centerburg went to be with her beloved husband on Tuesday evening Sept. 27, 2011 at Woodside Village Care Center surrounded by her family.
She was born Nov. 13, 1926 in Holmes Mill, Kentucky to the late John W. and Mary ( Doss ) Witt.
Ada had worked at Inland Finishing Co. as an inspector and then for Bry-Air in their parts department.
On Feb. 23, 1948 in Harlan, Kentucky, Ada married Cammie Bush, Jr. and he preceded her in death on May 5, 1993.
Ada is survived by her son and daughter-in-law; Randy and Carol Bush of Mt. Gilead, daughter and son-in-law; Vicki and Larry Houck of Thurston, seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Geneva ( Earl ) Howard of Delaware; and brother Orcia ( Wilma ) Witt of Marengo.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ada was preceded in death by a daughter; Donna G. Cooper, six brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Gompf Funeral Home in Cardington on Thursday, September 29 from 5:00-800 PM. The funeral service will be Saturday, October 1 at 2:00 PM at the 1st Baptist Church in Appalachia, Virginia with visitation beforehand from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM. Pastor Nick Brewer will be officiating.
Burial will follow in Powell Valley Memorial Garden in Big Stone Gap,Virginia.
In lieu of flowers the family would like you to consider a memorial contribution to be made in Ada's memory to Hospice of Morrow County, 228 South Street, Mount Gilead, Ohio 43338.
